	Skyline Lodge
	Make the most of your visit in Denali National Park     Skyline Lodge is the operations base for Kantishna Air Taxi and its crew, located deep within Denali National Park. We are in Kantishna, which is 95 miles from the park entrance on the park road and just 20 miles as the crow flies from the North Face of Denali (Mt. McKinley). This solar-powered alternative facility can accommodate small groups of guests. Skyline Lodge is the ideal base for independent travelers who want to explore Denali's rich history, geography, flora and fauna.      Day hiking in the beautiful Kantishna Hills, mountain biking on the park road and old mining roads, fishing in Wonder Lake, or flightseeing can offer a spectacular views of Mt. McKinley and the Alaska Range. Many guests enjoy just relaxing in the lodge. Guests also get a first-hand view of the daily lives of Alaskan Bush pilots.
	Skyline Lodge offers its guests the use of three common areas: the study area with a collection of Alaskana books and aviation information, the dining and kitchen area for food preparation, and the two deck levels which overlook Moose Creek and the Kantishna Valley.
		Skyline Lodge has three separate rooms in a log cabin available for our guests. Each cabin room is furnished with a double bed and two single sleeping pads in the loft, allowing a maximum of four people in each room. Please note that the rooms have no bathroom facilities. The main lodge has bathroom and shower facilities for guest use.
	Our 2009 season is from June 8th - September 10th •  Check-in time is between 1:00pm-9:00pm. Late arrival arrangements can be made. Check-out time is no later than 10:30am. •  A continental breakfast is included in the price of the cabin. See meal options. •  Since we do not have a liquor license, we do not serve alcohol. You are welcome to BYOB. •  We are a non-smoking establishment. Smoking is only permitted outside. •  Children are welcome. Adult rate applies to children of any age. •  Phone services are extremely limited. Please make all phone arrangements prior to or after your stay in Kantishna. •  Sorry, we don't allow pets. Rates and Reservations For 1-2 people per cabin, $225.00 per night (plus additional 7% tax) For 3 people per cabin, $270.00 per night (plus additional 7% tax) For 4 people per cabin, $325.00 per night (plus additional 7% tax) We can accommodate a maximum of four people per cabin. Reservations can be made through the Kantishna Air Taxi office and are highly recommended. A credit card is needed to hold your reservation. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover card. Half of the room cost will be required for deposit. If you are reserving all three cabins, prepayment in full is required at least 30 days before arrival. Please contact KAT for further questions and information. Cancellation Policy for the Skyline Lodge Cancellations prior to 60 days before scheduled check-in date will receive full refund less a $100 service fee. Cancellations 60-30 days prior to check-in date will be charged 50% of nightly room rate including tax. If cancellation is within 30 days of check-in date, guests will be charged full amount of nightly room rate including tax. While we understand that emergencies can happen, it is very difficult for us to re-sell the space due to our remote location. How to Get to and from the Skyline Lodge The Skyline Lodge in Kantishna is located at the end of the road in Denali National Park, approximately 95 miles from the park entrance.  You can fly in with us (Kantishna Air Taxi) or ride the Park Service camper shuttle bus in to access our remote location.  A direct flight is 35 minutes long or you can choose the scenic-flyby flight which is 55 minutes, allowing time to experience the spectacular north face of Denali.  Make all flight reservations with Kantishna Air Taxi.  The camper bus takes approximately 6-7 hours going into Kantishna and around 5-6 hours going out to the park entrance.  Driving personal vehicles to Skyline Lodge via the park road requires a permit, therefore driving is not an option. Option #3: Fly in/bus out. This is the BEST value, easiest convenience,and                 the option we highly recommend. Because of our unique situation                 and general flight schedule, we are able to offer you up to 50%                 off retail price for inbound flights if we can match you with an                 existing outgoing flight. Outgoing bus tickets can be purchased at                 the Skyline Lodge. You do not need to contact Park Service for                 this option. Make all reservations with us. If the Skyline Lodge is full and/or you cannot find other lodging, don't cross Kantishna off your list. You can still get into this beautiful, remote area of Denali just for the day.
